To introduce our Global Education Summit speakers to you, we asked them share with us what makes them proud as a global educator, what transforming education means to them, and how their work has changed in the past year.

For more than 20 years, Catherine Whitaker has been involved in global education and is proud to be part of the innovation that drives global education. Teachers, course designers and education technologists are all constantly finding new ways of teaching and learning so that students are ready for their futures.

To her, transforming global education means: “Ensuring that our assessment regimes, our curricula and our pedagogy are all keeping up with our rapidly changing world. The availability of information and new technologies mean students need to develop skills which aren’t always at the heart of current programmes.”

In the last year, her work has changed in many ways, including using new tools to collaborate with her team as they work from home during the pandemic.
